Rate Analyst
Job Description:
The Citizens’ Utility Ratepayer Board (CURB), a state consumer advocate agency representing the interest of residential and small commercial customers in telephone, gas and electric matters before Kansas state and federal regulators, seeks a motivated individual to fill a rate analyst position within the agency.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge or a willingness to learn about issues related to regulation of electric and gas industries; be able to review and analyze written testimony, focus on revenue requirement issues and other accounting adjustments. Must be able to conduct research and analysis associated with technical, economic and administrative issues associated with utility filings, and communicate with other witnesses concerning issues.
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is required; a graduate degree is preferred.
Salary range: $42,000-$54,000
