Executive Director
Primary Responsibility: The Director of the Central Workforce Development Board is accountable for leading the provision of a portfolio of employment and workforce development initiatives across 19 counties in central Missouri.
Characteristic Duties:
• Lead the creation of a long term strategic plan that delivers the necessary community services, with a combination of innovation and fiscal measures to ensure sustainability.
• Create and execute annual operational and financial plans, which match the strategic plan, while meeting the ever changing fiscal environment and needs of the community.
• Lead a team of administrative and field staff, with an emphasis on customer service, and high personal performance and engagement.
• Constantly, evaluate current operations and offerings to determine how services can be delivered in a more efficient and effective way.
• Constantly lead process improvement efforts, which will enhance delivery of services, reduce cost, and ensure fiscal integrity under generally accepted accounting principles.
• Measure, track and report on the effectiveness of each program.
• Create and implement a transparent communication plan to meet the needs of the Board, county Chief Elected Officers, staff, community and regulatory agencies.
• Assume responsibility for additional projects and initiatives as they arise.
Supervision Received: Reports to the Board of Directors and sub-committees.
Supervision Exercised: Will hold responsibility for leading a team of administrative and field staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience public service, non-profit, government or similar environment is required.
• A minimum of three years' supervisory experience is required.
