Description:
- Manage overall mechanical, piping and process engineering design efforts for Design-only and EPC projects for Oil, Gas and Chemical clients.
- Prepare and manage final engineering man-hour budgets.
- Manage implementation of Quality Program for engineering designs.
- Manage independent quality/completeness reviews of engineering deliverables.
- Direct and manage field engineering services.
- Manage engineering design schedule, budget, and progress measurement functions with project controls teams.
- Manage, prepare, and submit client change orders.
- Lead engineering preparation of subcontract plan and subcontractor bid and award packages.
- Manage turnover and start-up plans.
- Manage and expedite vendor and fabrication shop progress.
- Manage preparation of and/or prepare monthly client status reports.
- Manage 3D model review meetings and drive action items to completion.
- Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
- Provide leadership in developing an engineering schedule to support integrated EPC and construction schedule.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited university in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
7 years of project mechanical or piping engineering experience, to include:
- Lead engineering and design efforts for Oil, Gas and Chemicals projects.
- Piping engineering using ASME B31.1 and B31.3.
- Develop and manage work plans, man-hours, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate activities between project teams.
- Modularization design and construction efforts.
- Collaboration with offshore High Value Engineering Centers; and
- Project controls and procurement efforts.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s plus 7 years of experience, a master’s plus 5 years of experience is acceptable.
This position requires domestic travel to various worksites 50% of the time.
