Bol Vail has the following opportunities for employment:
- Servers - takes orders, answers questions about the menu and food, sells the restaurant's food and drinks, takes payment, communicates orders with the kitchen staff, seats customers, and helps with customer service and cleaning. Also known as a waiter or waitress.
- Bartenders - Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and patrons. Interacting with customers, taking orders and serving snacks and drinks. Assessing bar customers' needs and preferences and making recommendations.
- Host - greets customers as they enter a restaurant, takes their reservation or puts them on a waiting list, gives them menus and shows them to their seat.
- Busser - clean tables, taking plates, utensils and drinkware to the kitchen to be washed, make sure diners' water glasses are full, and reset tables for the next service.
- Line Cook - Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies. Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Dishwasher - Ensuring the availability of clean dishes by bussing tables, washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware, and resetting dining areas. Preparing dining areas and kitchen for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and cook stations.
