The machine operator’s primary role is to produce rolls as required by following specific manufacturing specs provided in each order. The operator will set up the machine, produce a high-quality roll, inspect, and fill out information as needed on the manufacturing order. The operator is responsible for maintaining the safe operation and light maintenance as needed. The operator is expected to report information as needed pertaining to the equipment, orders, raw materials, and issues. The operator is expected to meet an average quantity of rolls once fully trained.
The machine operator is also required to learn and assist in other duties on the production floor as instructed by the supervisor. The other duties include and is not limited to operating other equipment, cleaning, taking out trash, transporting finished orders, helping other team members.
- Must have basic math skills (Addition, subtraction, decimals, fractions, multiplication)
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Must be able to use/read a digital caliper.
- Must have some knowledge/experience with computers.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Must have previous experience in machine operations.
The schedule consists of an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:30 pm. This is a first shift position. Overtime is always a possibility and need to be available when required.
