Responsibilities |
Under the direction of the Director of Campus Services, is responsible for the general maintenance of the physical plants, equipment and grounds. This full time employee repairs and installs electrical equipment, such as electrical outlets, ballasts, circuit breakers, etc., and other electrical systems equipment; repairs plumbing: sinks, traps, toilets, urinals, flush valves, supply valves, etc. and water fountains. Repairs and maintains building equipment; painting and patchwork to maintain buildings in good condition as needed; performs locksmith responsibilities; carpentry work and repairs to sidewalks and parking lots. Performs maintenance of buildings and grounds, such as snow removal. |
Qualifications |
Must have knowledge of plumbing systems, related tools and their uses, electrical systems, and carpentry. Ability to repeatedly lift up to 60 lbs., stand and/or wait for long periods, perform the mentioned tasks while in various physical positions, and climb up to 15 ft. on a ladder. Ability to follow both oral and written directions, work with and take direction from staff; have basic computer skills. Read blueprints and equipment specification/operation manuals.Experience and/or coursework in Ammonia Refrigeration and Boiler operations also required. High School/GED. Substantial maintenance experience in above mentioned tasks.Must pass a background check for criminal records. |
