Maintenance Mechanic
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, is responsible for the general
repair and maintenance of the building equipment. Primary responsibilities:
Operates and maintains all HVAC equipment, including but not limited to:
Chillers, boilers, condensers, fin-tube, PTAC units, air handlers, and associated
control systems. This full time employee also repairs and installs electrical
equipment, such as electrical outlets, ballasts, circuit breakers, etc, and other
electrical systems equipment; repairs plumbing: sinks, traps, toilets, urinals,
flush valves, supply valves, etc. and water fountains.; painting and patchwork to
maintain buildings in good condition as needed; performs locksmith
responsibilities; carpentry work and repairs to sidewalks and parking lots.
Performs maintenance of buildings and grounds, such as snow removal. Other
related duties as assigned.
Must have knowledge of MEP: HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems, related tools
and their uses, and carpentry. Ability to repeatedly lift up to 60 lbs, stand and/or
wait for long periods, perform the mentioned tasks while in various physical
positions, and climb up to 15 ft. ladder. Ability to follow both oral and written
directions, work with and take direction from staff; have basic computer skills.
Read blueprints and equipment specification/operation manuals. Experience
and/or coursework in Ammonia Refrigeration and Boiler operations also required.
High School/GED required. Substantial maintenance experience in above
mentioned tasks. Must pass a background check for criminal records. Competitive Salary.
