Assisted transports students from around the metropolitan area to and from school each day. Most of the students we transport currently live outside the school bus route or even outside of the school district. These students only require our service to get to and from school each day. We also transport some students with Special Needs who may require special assistance getting to and from the vehicle. These students may require transportation throughout the school day as well. We operate a fleet of minivans for students that are able to walk and wheelchair ramp vans for students who use a wheelchair.
The safety of the students, our drivers and the general public is our number one priority. We look for drivers with an excellent driving record who enjoy being around children. All of our vehicles contain a security camera to insure both students and drivers are being safe and courteous at all times. Our vehicles also include GPS technology to assist the drivers and dispatchers with each route. Most drivers operate the same route each day and transport the same students, which makes the job a lot easier. Some of the drivers work a split shift, with a break in the middle of the day, while other drivers work a straight shift, without a break in the middle of the day.
Most drivers start their day around 6:30am and finish their day around 4:30pm. Drivers working a straight shift average around 10 hours each day, while drivers working a split shift average around 6 hours each day. We follow the school district calendar, so drivers should expect to have time off around the Holidays and over the summer. Most drivers work between 20 and 40 hours per week when school is in session, depending on how many days they work each week. We try to meet each drivers needs regarding their schedule and total hours worked.
Benefits Include:
Flexible schedule, operate newer equipment, provide a valuable service to the community, CPR and First Aid training provided, drivers earn between $12.00 and $14.00 per, drivers are paid every week and uniforms are provided.
