VP of Treasury Management
The role of the VP of Treasury Management is to lead the Cash & Treasury Management department in all areas including sales, operations, risk management, and servicing. This department is responsible to identify, analyze, sell, and support cash management services and products.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Call on new and existing commercial clients to develop and close cash management sales business. Proactively reviews assigned client base and identifies deposit and cash management services solutions and cross-sale opportunities based on customer needs and completes the sale. Partners with commercial lenders and branch sales officers in pre-proposal discussions to fully understand client needs. Leads cash management discussions with clients and prospects and communicates features/benefits of Bank programs, products and services. Support existing commercial clients with all cash management products and Business Online Banking.
- Maintain industry knowledge of cash management solutions and pricing to keep products current and competitive. Promotes business for the Bank by maintaining up to date and thorough knowledge of cash management programs, products and severs as well as applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Develop cash management sales proposals and pricing for prospective and existing clients to further develop and strengthen business relationships.
- Conduct annual cash management reviews and recommend limit changes in conjunction with Senior Credit Officer.
- Review ACH and RDC transactions and take appropriate action to ensure customer compliance with all rules, policies and procedures and to mitigate associated risk.
- Works closely with service and operational areas of the Bank, third party vendors, etc. providing input to Bank systems designs, modifications, and implementation of cash management services implementations processes, and day to day client service delivery, as needed and requested.
- Perform research and data gathering activities, tracks/monitors and prepares reports and works on special projects and assignments as requested.
- Directs the daily operation of the Treasury Support staff.
Experience:
Five years of similar or related experience.
Education:
A college degree or a graduate degree.

The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
Other Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, people skills and self-direction are required.
- Must be able to work proactively and with a sense of urgency, anticipating needs and taking initiative to address critical issues.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, specifically Excel and Word. Knowledgeable of current ACH rules. A thorough knowledge of Bank Policy and Procedure. Ability to develop and implement risk management components.
- Possess the ability to identify, assess and actualize opportunities to propel the business forward. A drive for continuous improvement is key.
- Must be collaborative by nature and possess highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Frequent travel is required which may include overnight travel and extended stay availability when needed.
